Looking for this book
Jun. 24th, 2018 06:14 pmFor the last 7 years or so I have been incredibly faithful to the barn and noble nook platform. I have over 1,300 books on there that I've read. Every once in a while I will want to reread a specific book and its usually no problem; I can either look around my library and remember the cover or a real quick google search gives me the title. Not this time...
The book I'm looking for is a present day romance book. I think it takes in Nashville TN...not sure. I remember about 80% of the plot. It starts off with a with an engaged couple. The man is some sort of Music industry big shot and the girl is a rising singer. The girl used to be an addict and I think she was living on the streets before they met. The man catches the girl high and in bed with his twin brother and throws her out of the house and then he makes sure that she is blacklisted and cant get anymore singing gigs. Sometime passes...A year or more. And the man is at a bar that his friend owns. The girl is there working and maybe singing. The man tries to act unaffected by her but fails and asks his friend about how shes been doing. Turns out she she was doing free work at a rehab center in order to have a place to sleep. He feels guilty but doesn't do anything. I think the couple talk but leave the bar unresolved. The girl ends up getting stabbed and beat by a patient at the rehab center. The therapist calls the guy from the hospital. The guy rushes to the hospital thinking that this girl may die. Hes consumed by guilt because him blacklisting her made her have to stay at the rehab center. The girl lives and the man forces her to stay at his place while she is recovering. The comes out (i don't remember how) that the guys twin and the girls sister set the girl up and drugged her in order to steal from the guy. They then forgive each other and live happily ever after.
I don't know why this book is stuck in my head but I don't think it will go away until I read it again; so please if you have any ideas or extra information that could help let me know. I think the girls name may have been Honey....maybe not I don't know.
